these early WoT sketches were from around january 2011,

A quick take on, Lews Therin Telamon. I suppose he could have
been dressed a bit more fancily, doing something more impressive.. I mean when you go around calling yourself "The Dragon" you've gotta have an insane wardrobe to back it up, right? C'mon you're setting the fashion standard for that entire Realm..

I recently bought The Eye of the World, and I look forward to beginning this apparently wonderful epic fantasy series!!! I'm a massive fan of The Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire so I think I'll love The Wheel of Time

Then again, he was the General of The Light. So his clothes stand out enough to show his station, yet still be comfortable and practical enough to fight in if necessary. I think it's pretty good.
